The Fab Four
I was blessed to be born in the 1980s, and with that blessing came the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Sure there would be things that I would come to obsess about in the future, but the Turtles were my first true obsession. You had the angry turtle, the responsible turtle, the smart turtle, and the fun turtle, all with corresponding colors, and we all know how important colors are to children.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987 Cartoon)
What could be cooler than four oversized Turtles eating pizza?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 film)

Turtle Toyline
Let's not forget the awesome toyline, which I was very blessed to have, thanks Mom and Dad.
My 4th Birthday Party
Probably the best Ninja Turtle's memory I have is that time that Michelangelo stopped by my house on my 4th Birthday Party.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1989 Arcade Game)
I'm not done talking about my love for the Turtles just yet. Let's talk about their video games. There wasn't a time that I wouldn't beg my parents to give me some quarters to play the side scrolling beat em up in 1989, but Turtles in Time changed the game.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (1991 Video Game)
My brother and I would play the SNES Turtle game non-stop for two summers straight. Notable Mentions: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES video game), a good game for the time, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't want you to rage out from difficulty. (I.E The level where you had to deactivate underwater bombs.)

Ninja Turtle Face Bar
Whenever Mr. Softee stopped by on a hot New York summer day, I could always count on a Turtle to keep me cool.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Collection Series (IDW Comics)
I am sad to say that my Turtle obsession did not last very long. A new obsession with another team of colorful heroes called the Power Rangers would soon replace them. Although, I have checked in on occasion to see what my former Turtle friends have been up to, I never really gave them much thought over the years, until recently... Over the last two years I have begun to collect a new series of graphic novels from IDW publishing. These novels, although a little pricey for my taste, have reignited my love for the fab four, and don't worry they forgave me for my absence.
